It’s been a while since I posted anything here and it’s the end of the year. Soon a new invoice for this server will drop and I need to justify to myself that I’m still using it.
In general, this has been an exhausting year for me. A lot of things have happened, mostly just everyday stuff, you know, life, work… Well, mostly work to be honest, but some personal stuff too.
My drawing hobby took a bit of a backseat to other stuff. I tried to keep up my one art per month policy, but lets face it, even in previous years I was cheating more often than not and with RPGs taking more and more of my brain power, it became more of a chore than a hobby. It doesn’t help that with all the drama with AI-generated media and ridiculous policy changes places like deviantART and Twitter (sorry Elon, X just doesn’t make any sense)
became almost unusable. So in short, this is, and for the foreseeable future will be the only place where I sustain my online life.
As I mentioned, RPGs have become my main source of earthly distractions, be it the Tabletop variety I play with my friends, usually in the capacity of the DM, or the computer kind (Yes, I spent an ungodly amount of time in BG3). I’m kinda hooked on the worldbuilding aspect of it. My DnD setting has now 3 concurrent adventures going, exploring different places and cultures. I didn’t have the time to sort through my notes to organise them into a coherent form to publish some of it, but I’ve been contemplating it for a long time. There might be an RPG section of this site soon 😀
I also continue developing and improving my “home lab”. I’m not even sure if home lab is a good name for it since there’s not all that much labing going on and it’s mostly me trying to fine-tune things we use everyday. I mean, you never know you needed a NAS until you actually have it and then you don’t know how you were ever able to function without it.
So here’s a to-do list for the foreseeable future:
- Write some more RPG-related blogs
- Write something about travels. I’ve been in places, in fact, I’m writing this blog while sitting in a train.
- Write home lab/computer update
- Post some art I got/commissioned
